We are thrilled to introduce the Updown Gallop to our Uplands yard. A brand new addition to the Jamie Osborne facilities.
Created after extensive research, including gallop inspections across England and predominantly Ireland, to ensure it would be an effective training method and a well-received unique new addition to ‘The Valley of Racehorse’. It is the only public gallop in Lambourn with a sand surface, consisting of Avonmouth River sand that mimics that of the Wexford sand. This surface has been tried, tested and is used as a crucial part of training by a number of top Irish trainers, both Flat and Jumps. We believe it is therefore providing a proven alternative that will improve fitness and at a much lower risk level than daily usage of quicker surfaces that we predominantly currently have at hand within the UK.
The Updown Gallop consists of a four furlong inclining straight that leads into a three furlong circuit which is already proving increasingly popular with a number Lambourn trainers.
The gallop is for public use, for enquiries please contact our office on +44 148873139 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
