Ten years ago, 11 year old Saffie watched our star horse, Toast of New York, win the UAE Derby in Dubai and decided she'd like to do that too! On Friday she piloted Ouzo to win The Lord Glitters Handicap and became the first female to ride a winner at Meydan.
A brilliant training performance by the team to get this extraordinary 8 year old to peak condition to make it three wins on the bounce. Congratulations to the owners, The Other Club, who were in Dubai to see the win, collect the trophy and celebrate in style.
