MEKONG's thrilling 2nd in the Saudi Arabia $2.5million Longines Turf Handicap

Our International team did Team Osborne Racing very proud yesterday with Mekong, owned by Khalid Bin Mishref, finishing second in the $2.5million Longines Turf Handicap. Starting slow out the gates, being the back marker for three quarters of the one mile seven furlong race. It wasn't until the final bend that he began to cover ground and move up the field but down that final straight he got his nose in front of all bar one, the Freddy Head trained Call The Wind. With a very competitive field including the likes of Cross Counter and Dee Ex Bee, we are ecstatic to have been placed and also on the opening day of the Saudi Cup.

Congratulations to Khalid Bin Mishref and our whole team.

We would also like to thank the Saudi Cup organisation for all their hospitality, we hope to see you again next year!
